Terms and Conditions

1. Swim Master reserves the right to cancel a session without notice. Swim Masters will attempt to contact all swimmers affected by a cancellation by leaving a telephone message at the numbers given on your registration form, (please ensure we have the most appropriate contact numbers for this).

2. Reasons for short notice cancellations may include unacceptable pool conditions or unexpected illness of the teacher. Swim Masters is not responsible for travel expenses incurred due to session cancellation.

3. Swimmers (or parents) should inform the teacher of any health issues that may be relevant before their lesson begins. Swim Masters reserves the right to refuse to teach any swimmer if they feel that there is a relevant health or behaviour issue which may affect the safety or well-being of any swimmer or member of staff. In this case Swim Masters will not be liable to refund lesson fees unless it is due to ongoing medical problem which causes the swimmer to miss two consecutive lessons.

4. Swimmers must not swim within 48 hours of suffering from vomiting or diarrhoea. This is due to the potential risk of spreading infections to other swimmers.

5. If swimmers are unable to attend their lesson for two or more consecutive weeks due to a medical issue, then these missed lessons may be credited against a future term at the discretion of Swim Masters. This will only occur after sufficient proof is provided, eg; a doctors note, a hospital appointment letter or medication containers. If a child is kept off swimming other than by a doctor's instructions, then the parent should confirm with Swim Masters whether the ailment is sufficient to prevent swimming from taking place. Swim Masters may still require proof that there is a medical issue.

6. Any lessons missed by swimmers other than those outlined in clause 5 cannot be replaced or refunded by Swim Masters.

7. Do not run on the poolside, do not drink alcohol prior to the sessions and do not bring food on to the poolside or into the changing areas. Drinks are acceptable on the poolside in a suitable container.

8. Please remove loose fitting or sharp jewellery before lessons.

9. Long hair must be tied back or in a swim cap prior to entering the water.

10. Photography is not permitted during any swimming session and mobile phones are not permitted to be used on the poolside. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of other swimmers who may be using the facility.

11. Parents should remove their outdoor shoes or wear overshoes (provided by the pool) whilst on the poolside.

12. No make-up or body lotions should be used prior to swimming as these significantly deteriorate the pool water quality. If in doubt, please ensure that the swimmer showers before entering the pool.

13. Swimmers are subject to the rules and regulations of the pool in which their session is being held, in addition to the terms and conditions of Swim Masters.

14. Swimmers places can only be secured upon receipt of a full payment.

15. In the event of a parent choosing to cancel a term's swimming after payment has been made, 28 days notice is required in writing to J Maycock. An administration fee of £10 will be withheld if lesson have not commenced within the 28 day notice period. Any further monies paid towards lessons beyond the notice period will be refunded in full.
